CHEMOTHERAPY RECOVERY
"He, who knows how to listen, hears wisdom.
He, who does not know how to listen, hears only noise."
Chinese saying.
Chemotherapy commonly referred to as simply
Chemo, is the treatment with drugs
especially for Cancer. It includes any and all drugs used to treat cancer
patients regardless if the drugs are antineoplastic (anticancer) or cytotoxic
(cell -killing). It is often the first choice of treatment because the chemo
drugs reach throughout the entire body instead of a localized area. There are
more than 100 cancer chemotherapy drugs available today that can be used for
chemo therapy.
Surgery and radiation target a specific area.
Make no mistake, the goal of chemotherapy treatment is to KILL the cancer and
prevent it from returning. During the process, healthy cells are also damaged or
killed in the chemo patient.
We have a certain responsibility to keep our bodies in good health,
as far as it lies within our power to do so…as a loan from God.
Chemotherapy side effects include:
Bone marrow suppression which can lead to low red & white blood cells &
platelets.
Weakened immune system.
Anemia.
Hair loss.
Appetite and weight loss.
Nausea and vomiting.
Fatigue
Heart damage.
Damage to reproductive tissue.
And the list goes on.
While the chemo drugs are effective in killing cancers cells there are
complications and side effects that must be dealt with if one is to survive and
have "quality of life" after the treatment.
Our NATURAL & ALTERNATIVE HEALING RESOURCE DIRECTORY
provides information on great products and where to buy them that specifically
target many of the conditions that affect "modern man" today. Drinking
Kombucha on a regular basis also may very well be the most important thing you
can do to regain and maintain good health.
The very idea of drinking tea to aid chemo recovery sounds unbelievable to many
people but there is a lot of solid scientific data to back up the claim.
Being stupid, isn't not knowing much, nor is it not wanting to know much.
Being stupid, is believing you know enough.

Kombu. . what, you might ask.
What is it?
It is an Oriental fermented tea remedy that can be traced back to 400 B.C. where
it originated in what is known today as Korea. It is perfectly safe and is used
today by 500 million people around the world. Emperors, Czars and even an
American President have used the tea. The President in the 1980/s was being
treated for Cancer and was having metastases (spreading of cancer cells). A
culture was brought in from Japan and incorporated into his treatment. He
survived and lived into his nineties.
It wasn't until 1993 that Kombucha was introduced to the American public. Today,
over 3,000,000 Americans drink Kombucha on a regular basis.
Let's review some of the properties of Kombucha that might be beneficial in
helping a patient recover from the side effects of chemotherapy.
One might think of Kombucha as a microbiological digestive aid. The chemo kills
enormous numbers of cells and leaves their remains scattered throughout your
body. The tea is the biological equivalent of STP gas treatment, carburetor
cleaner and radiator flush all rolled into one. It works at the cellular and
molecular level pulling toxins and waste materials out. Glucuronic acid (GA) then
binds the material in the liver which are then eliminated via your urine.
Material bound by GA cannot be reabsorbed by the intestines or the urinary
system. This detoxification and flushing promotes a healthier bladder, liver and
pancreas.
The usnic acid produced has antibiotic properties and may also prevent tumors
from growing.
Properly fermented tea is also the same pH as the stomach fluids are supposed to
be. It therefore helps balance stomach juices so they are not too acidic or too
alkaline. This should relieve digestive conditions such as heartburn, nausea,
indigestion etc.
Dr. Valentin Kohler in 1961 in a magazine wrote an article "Glucuronic acid
gives cancer patients hope. His cancer patients had encouraging results with
glucuronic acid increasing their physical resistance to cancer and possibly
boosting interferon production. Glucuronic acid is one of the products formed
during the Kombucha fermentation process.
Medical therapy involving antibiotics and radiation damage or in extreme cases,
kill the friendly intestinal bacteria of the colon. Several important acids are
in properly fermented Kombucha which coupled with balanced pH create a hostile
environment for pathogens. A chemo patient has a weakened immune system and if
pathogens can't thrive and multiply there is less chance of infections.
Kombucha is a living tea containing friendly bacteria and beneficial yeasts (not
to be confused with the Candida variety). It is very beneficial in nourishing
intestinal flora that might have been damaged by chemo drugs and radiation. A
healthy intestinal tract is necessary for healing to begin. The tea also
contains lactic acid and acetic acid which deter the growth of harmful bacteria.
Since the tea aids healthy digestion, the nutrients in food and drink are more
readily available for the rest of the body to utilize in performing the body's
normal functions, hence more energy.
The fermentation process produces a variety of substances from acetylcholine,
which benefits the body's nervous system to choline which normalizes blood
pressure and prevents hypertension.
Kombucha sometimes enhances the effectiveness of medications and it is important
to keep your health provider informed so dosage can be adjusted accordingly if
needed.
As we said earlier, "this ain't yo mama's tea" so here is what some Kombucha
drinkers say about their Kombucha experience:
Mrs. T: I had cancer in the early stage and was cured from this disease by
taking Kombucha. I feel more fit now and healthier than 10 years ago.
Mr. L: I know a woman who had stomach cancer and was cured from it by Kombucha.
Mrs. R.E.H. wrote: My 58 year old sister who is a smoker had a right mastectomy
2 years ago. She then got a secondary cancer in her ribs, skull and a growth in
the lung. Two weeks after the first chemo she had a complete hair loss and
excruciating pain in her ribs and was on large doses of a morphine painkiller.
She then started drinking the Kombucha. Within 2 days, she discontinued the
morphine as the pain had disappeared. Also, no more insomnia. The hair on her
head started to grow again and kept growing throughout the rest of the chemo
treatments. The bone cancer medication was expected to swell or bloat her up and
that didn't happen. She was able to continue working and only missed 1 day after
each chemo treatment. Of 29 patients going thru the chemo at the time she was
the only one that was able to keep working. The others were all too sick. The
specialist said "whatever you are doing, keep doing it".
H.T. wrote: My father was diagnosed with lung cancer and had a cancer in one
lung the size of a small orange. His Doctor advised him the cancer was incurable
but with treatment he would have a better quality of life during the time he had
left. My uncle gave him a Kombucha culture and he started drinking 2 glasses a
day. Four months later the x-ray showed no traces of the cancer.
Lois, a Kombucha drinker describes her experience this way. I received a bone
marrow transplant because of breast cancer. I had no mouth sores or infections
and was taken off all antibiotics. My doctors were baffled because of my body's
resiliency and how I was able to function after this near death experience.
I had cancer bad in 1994. Friends made me the tea and I drank it for 3 years.
The Doctors said I was a walking miracle. I quit because I was doing so good.
I'm sure glad I found you on the internet because I need to get back on the tea.
Kombucha by itself
doesn't cure anything.
It simply nourishes at the cellular level so that your
marvelous body can heal itself.
It costs only about $5 a month since you brew the tea yourself. About 1 or 2
hours a month is needed for the brewing and cleanup. It's also simple. If you
can bake a Duncan Hines cake then you too can be a Master Brewmeister.
I grew up in Missouri and as Uncle Harry (Truman) would say, the buck stops
here. If you are willing to put forth a little effort there is no reason
for you to continue to suffer. I know it sounds too simple to be true so visit our Home
