CHOLESTEROL "He, who knows how to listen, hears wisdom.
If you are healthy, your arteries have
walls that are muscular, smooth inside, and elastic enough to accommodate
extreme variations in blood pressure. Blood easily passes through and does its
good works. Sometimes though, fatty streaks or spots (known as atheroma) appear
on the inner walls of arteries. The body attempts to repair the damage by
depositing cholesterol on the atheroma. This narrows the passageway thus
restricting blood flow. A large such mass is called plaque. This condition is
atherosclerosis and is very common in the U.S. and other developed countries.
In general, increases in consumption of saturated fat and cholesterol are
the main culprits. Even children can be affected. While much of this clogging
can be attributed to saturated fats and cholesterol American adults also
consume over 5 pounds of chemical additives each year that the food industry
adds to extend shelf life, make food look prettier and appetizing, smell better
etc. Being stupid, isn't not knowing much, nor is it not wanting to know much.
High cholesterol/atherosclerosis can lead to stroke,
kidney failure, angina or a heart attack and folks that’s big time serious.
We have a certain responsibility to keep our bodies in good health,
The Associated Press released a report that Americans spent
13.2 billion dollars in 2003 on the 3 most popular cholesterol
drugs. Figures are not available on the cost of the less popular cholesterol
drugs or the cost of the additional drugs needed to treat the side effects of
these prescription cholesterol drugs. Cholesterol as you can see is very
expensive to treat in the traditional way. What other choice do you have?
Medicine cures three tenths, diet cures seven tenths.
First of all you must watch what you eat by limiting your
intake of saturated fats and foods high in cholesterol. Secondly you must
detoxify and flush your system to eliminate the plaque that has already built
up. Our NATURAL & ALTERNATIVE HEALING RESOURCE DIRECTORY
provides information on great products and where to buy them that specifically
target many of the conditions that affect "modern man" today. Drinking
Kombucha on a regular basis also may very well be the most important thing you
can do to regain and maintain good health. Let me tell you about an
inexpensive yet highly effective way to purge your circulatory system and organs
of plaque and toxins. Kombu. . what, you might ask. What results can someone with a high
cholesterol level and is a high risk for a coronary attack reasonably expect
by drinking properly prepared Kombucha. The tea introduces micro-organisms into the body which transforms harmful substances such as uric acid and cholesterol into more soluble compounds. They can them be eliminated from your body via the urinary tract. Kombucha seems to be the biological equivalent
of STP gas treatment, carburetor cleaner and radiator flush all rolled into
one. It works at the cellular and molecular level pulling the toxins out.
Glucuronic acid (GA) then binds toxins in the liver which are then eliminated
via your urine. Toxins bound by GA cannot be reabsorbed by the intestines or
the urinary system. GA is also a building block for connective tissue,
cartilage, stomach lining, vitreous humor of the eyes and heparin. Some experts believe green tea is better for cholesterol problems and suggest a 50/50 blend of green & black tea bags. Urine tests after drinking Kombucha show
traces of environmental toxins such as lead, mercury, etc have been expelled
from the body. The vitamin B3 produced in Kombucha has a range of benefits. It opens up blood vessels and is important in regulating cholesterol. It also softens hardened veins and arteries,
lowers cholesterol and improves liver function. Kombucha is also an
adaptogen in that it balances processes that get out of balance. This enables
it to raise blood pressure if one has low blood pressure or lower blood pressure
if one has high blood pressure. Many people who are over their natural weight
slowly start losing weight while someone who is underweight (illness, surgery
etc) might slowly start gaining weight. As you can see, Kombucha doesn’t address just one or two
symptoms. Rather it addresses the whole body. In 1944, Dr. H. Irion ran a college for chemists and documented Kombucha’s remarkable ability to invigorate the body’s entire glandular system and metabolism. He recommended its use for all aging problems and intestinal disorders. He noted also that it helped the removal of deposits of excess fat, cholesterol and uric acid.
Mr. E: My high cholesterol level has dropped to a normal level after a few months on the tea. NOTE: Some Alternative practitioners, in addition to
Kombucha, recommend adding silica to the daily diet as well to further
elasticize the blood vessels. In late 2001 my cholesterol level
was 273. I stayed aaway from the popular drugs and thru better diet dropped it
to 230. I then started drinking Kombucha due to my arthritis. By May 2005 my
cholesterol level had dropped to 165 and my blood pressure was at 122/54. Not
bad for a 65 year old that works 60 hours a week. Ernie, LA Kombucha by itself
doesn't cure anything. Since Kombucha nourishes at the cellular membrane level it has a positive effect on many chronic and debilitating conditions. On the left side of our Home Page we list many conditions that millions of Americans are suffering from. If you or a loved one has any of these conditions take the time to check it out and see how Kombucha might be of benefit. Take charge of your family's health today. |
